Evan's First Trip to the Pool

So far, we've had a pretty relaxing Memorial Day weekend. We did some chores yesterday like mowing the lawn and grocery shopping. Today, we watched the Indy 500 (my pick Helio won!). And then we headed to Mel and Brian's neighborhood for a barbecue and some pool time with friends. This was Evan's first venture into water other than a bathtub, and he did great! Their neighborhood has a little splash area for kids and also a kiddie pool. He'd sit or crawl in the water and puts his hands over the sprinklers. He had fun trying out Leah's float... might have to get him one of those. We took a few pictures and videos so I'll post part of a video for you to check out. Overall, it was a lot of fun until it poured rain on us. Luckily, it was about time to leave so we didn't mind. I'm excited for our own neighborhood pool and new splash area to open so Evan can enjoy more swimming! It's a little nerve wracking for Mommy but overall, it's a lot of fun and a great way to cool off in these hot Texas summers. Tomorrow, we may head to Evan's friend Avery's pool for a little bit. Then later, Aunt Michelle, her friend, Aunt Becca, and Uncle Casey are coming to our house for dinner. Should be fun! Hope everyone else has a great Memorial Day!
