Our next hike was along the beach outside the visitors center. The kids enjoyed seeing the ocean and playing in the sand. The kids were pretty tired so we only hiked a short ways on the beach.

After naps, we headed to Fern Canyon which was one of the best hikes of the trip. The walls of this small canyon are completely covered with lush, green ferns. You are essentially walking up the canyon so there are lots of small bridges you cross which the kids LOVED. Part of Jurassic Park was even filmed here!

A small waterfall on the side of the canyon. You can also see some of the wooden plank bridges that we had so much fun crossing. Evan did a great job navigating them by himself.

Everyone loved this hike. I highly recommend if it you are visiting Redwoods!
