We stayed two nights at Redwoods National Park. Anita booked us at a place called Elk Meadow Cabins, just outside the park. These were some old logging cabins that someone refurbished. Each cabin is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They were actually very nice and you can't beat the location. And the name... totally lived up to it! Our first morning there, we woke up to a herd of elk just outside our cabin. They ended up spending the entire day there just grazing and resting. We were lucky as the next day, they didn't show up (although you can see lots of elk throughout Redwoods).
Here you can see how close the elk were
And you can also see that we were all in our pajamas, sitting outside taking pictures with the elk
Say Elk!
The elk taunting us
This is what we did for a good amount of time in the morning... sit outside our cabin watching the elk
Finally getting ready to leave but what are the kids doing? Still watching the elk
Caitlin joining in too
