Evan's 6th Birthday Party - Part 1

Since we weren't going to be in Texas for Evan's birthday, Mema and Papa were nice enough to throw him a party at their house with all of his cousins and aunts/uncles that we never get to see.  The party was amazing!  Mema and Papa did such a great job.  We picked Jake and the Neverland Pirates as the theme since he just loves that show.

First, the food spread.  You know me and kids birthdays - I go crazy on pinterest so I found some cute ideas for Jake themed food and of  course went over the top. But it's so much fun!
The first half - "Berried Treasure", "Pirate Ship Watermelon", "Fish and Chips (aka goldfish and potato chips", "Fish and Seashell Salad - tuna salad with shell pasta"

Look at this cheese spread Aunt Jackie and Mema made!! The palm trees are sausages and green peppers - amazing!

Deviled Egg Ships

Hot Dogs to resemble pirate ships

And if you think that was amazing... just wait. Cousin Ashley made the cake for Evan and oh my gosh!  Here is the pirate ship she made - everything edible except the sails.  It was incredible and delicious!

And not only that, she made these "spy glasses" - it's supposed to look like a beach scene if you were to hold it up to you eye!

All I have to say is this is one lucky six year old!  I was so thankful everyone pitched in to help make all this such a success!  Ths is just part 1 of the party - wait until part 2 and all the games Mema put together!
