If you don't know much about Boy Scouts, then know this: Pinewood Derby racing is some serious business! Last year, we were out of town for the Pinewood Derby so the car we made was pretty slow as we didn't spend a lot of time on it. This year, the boys were determined to make a car that could compete.
Evan and Alex - ready for some racing!
Bryce researched some info on designs and the boys got to building. Evan opted for a Humvee type design with lots of weight in the back and polished axles for more speed.
Watching the cars speed past
After a couple races, it looked like Evan had a fast car!
And turns out, he had the fasted car of his Den! (He didn't win the overall pack, but still was exciting to watch and win for his Den as there was some great cars.)
Congrats Evan on winning the Wolf Den Pinewood Derby.
Papa helped with some of the wood work so we were glad he could come witness all that hard work paying off!
