Early Christmas with Grandma Stacer

We are getting closer and closer to Christmas, and I still have a lot to do. Fortunately, I'm off of work mostly now until the New Year so I plan to get some stuff done in these next couple days. Unfortunately, Evan has a sinus infection so we've been sticking around the house a lot and he's been pretty miserable. We got some antibiotics for him yesterday so hopefully he feels better soon.
Last weekend though, he was in great spirits and we enjoyed having an early Christmas with Grandma Stacer! Since the baby is coming so soon after the Holidays, the Stacers will be coming back to Austin then. However, it's hard to stay away from Evan for so long so Betty needed a little "fix" to tide her over and we love to have grandparents visit. We did lots of Christmas shopping while she was in town. We got Evan's picture taken with Santa while at the mall. He didn't really seem to mind too much (no crying involved). He was fascinated with the beard!

We went to the Round Rock Family Christmas night - it's a little festival in downtown Round Rock where they have music, pics with Santa, hot chocolate, carriage rides, and other activities. Aunt Becca joined us also, and we got our pic taken at one of the booths:

Then we celebrated Christmas with Michelle and Brett one evening... both Evan and the baby got some presents from Grammy and Grampy Stacer. There's one gift for Evan that hasn't arrived yet, but we know he'll love it - a little battery powered car he can sit in and drive. And the last day Grammy was here was just gorgeous outside. We went for a walk at a park after breakfast. We also found THE "Round Rock" for which our city is named!

As for a baby update... things are good! We plan to get a lot of work done while my mom and brother are here like painting the room, moving furniture, and setting up the new nursery. I'll start weekly visits and have one more ultrasound after Christmas.
We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
