Spring Soccer

Here are a couple pictures from our Spring season of Soccer. This time, Caitlin decided that she wanted to play too. A friend of hers was playing and asked Caitlin to play too. I was very surprised she said yes. We had tried soccer when she was littler and it just didn't seem to be her "thing". But, I figured she really wanted to so why not.

She had a great coach. He was so encouraging and fun with the kids. She really enjoyed it and she actually got quite a bit better! She is somewhat of a timid player but as the season went on, she really started to get into those scrums and fight for the ball more. 

This Spring, Evan played Academy again and got to be on his best friend Alex's team (which was awesome!).  He had a lot of fun and had a great team. We really enjoyed watching him grow as a player. He really started to grasp the idea of spacing and positions. I'll do another post later with some pictures from the tournament the played in at the end of the season. Stay tuned!

And last but not least, Ryan started soccer! He played at the YMCA (with some friends from the neighborhood) with Coach Travis and Coach Bryce. It was an interesting year. He had a blast, but he definitely was more interested in practice than the games! 

But, the best thing is that he had fun and really loves to play soccer with his Daddy. It is definitely something we will continue to do (just maybe in a different format).
